I capture all the emotions and splendor of your wedding, in an unobtrusive, non-intimidating manner.
Employing a photojournalistic, documentary-style approach to the craft of wedding photography, I use my skills and many years of experience behind the camera to candidly and unobtrusively capture the events and emotions of your day naturally as they unfold. My goal is to create stunningly beautiful and authentic pictures that tell a complete story and let you relive those moments every time you look through your wedding photographs.
I am a New Orleans photographer who specializes in weddings, portraits, and other events throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. I began my business as a professional wedding photographer in 2005, and have photographed over 800 weddings, numerous other events, and many engagement and bridal portrait sessions. Photography is my full-time occupation, not a side-job, and weddings and wedding-related portraits represent the vast majority of my work.
I shoot primarily in a documentary style. Although I of course do the standard group formals and portraits of the couple, the bulk of my wedding day coverage consists of unobtrusively capturing the beauty, splendor, and emotion of your day. My style is somewhat traditional, but also dynamic, artistic, and candid, while not excessively eccentric. My couples and their guests frequently say that they found me to be very easy and pleasant to work with, flexible, highly professional, dependable, and a calming presence on the wedding day.
Allison and Sarah have been photographing weddings since 2018, and are both skilled at capturing creative detail photographs of the rings, invitation suite, shoes, jewelry, etc., providing additional angles of key moments such as the first look, vows, first dance, and being a second set of eyes during receptions and second line parades.
Allison enjoys 35mm film photography as a hobby, and also runs a floral preservation business, Magnolia Press, creating artistic displays of flowers from weddings and other special events.
Sarah specializes in newborn, maternity, and family portrait photography, and when not working as a NICU nurse, enjoys spending time with her husband and their adorable baby boy, two dogs, and a cat.
With over 15 years of experience editing over a half million wedding photographs, Susan works meticulously on making sure every image captured looks as beautiful as it possibly can.

I did a lot of research before I chose him and made the perfect choice. He listened to all our requests and documented our most special night exactly the way we envisioned it... He brought Allison with him and they were a great team.

Most of the time, I didn't even know Michael and Sarah were there taking pictures, which allowed me to enjoy the day and evening without having to think about which pictures I needed/wanted to take.

It never felt like he, or his team, were "in the way," particularly in the more intimate moments (like the bride/groom wedding suite photos). He was kind, attentive and flexible with us on the wedding day, and we are forever grateful!

We had a destination wedding and he was extremely organized and made the whole process so easy. He and his assistant, Sarah, were extremely patient during the reception and were very accommodating to take several impromptu group photos.
