Wedding at St. Mary’s and The Roosevelt
Killian & Chris’s wedding, coordinated by Samantha with Three Little Words, started out with getting ready shots at the Roosevelt Hotel, and then we headed into the French Quarter for the ceremony at St. Mary’s. The couple wanted to leave the church with a second line, but given that this would be a bit of a long march all the way back to the Roosevelt for the reception, the solution was to second line several blocks away to where a few large buses awaited to transport everyone to the hotel, where the Rewind band awaited in the famous Blue Room to provide the entertainment, and the couple’s adorable dog popped in for a visit as well!

I would HIGHLY recommend your choosing Michael Caswell Photography! My husband and I got married at St. Mary’s (Ursuline Convent) and had our reception at the Roosevelt (Blue Room) in December 2019. Michael did a truly incredible job when it came to photographing our wedding. The quality of the photos was amazing – even the ones at night and in the dark venue – but beyond this he captured the various moments of our wedding day in such a beautiful way. The traditional shots of the bride/groom and wedding party were perfect – not too stuffy but still beautiful portraits! We love these, but my husband and I dearly cherish the pictures of the small moments throughout the day. Michael captured our personalities, details of the church and venue, and our friends and family so wonderfully. Looking back on these photos it is clear to see that they portray us in such an authentic way! He was also such a pleasure to work with. It never felt like he, or his team, were “in the way,” particularly in the more intimate moments (like the bride/groom wedding suite photos). He was kind, attentive and flexible with us on the wedding day, and we are forever grateful! He even made sure we got photos with our beloved dog (yes, we are those people) amidst the chaos of the wedding reception, knowing that this was important to us. We can’t recommend him enough and are confident he would capture your wedding just as beautifully.
