This timeless black and white photograph features the bride and her mother as they arrive in the back of a classic antique Bentley limousine for her wedding ceremony at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown New Orleans.
Though not every wedding chooses this kind of traditional transportation, it's undoubtedly the classiest and most elegant way to get around on your big day! Usually the bride and one or both of her parents will ride in this limo to the church, and it will remain there until the nuptial mass is over, and will then transport the newly married couple to the reception venue.
On some occasions, the limo will also serve as the departure vehicle for the end of the reception, but this is generally not the case for most French Quarter weddings. Usually these events either take place at the hotel where the couple is staying, or within easy walking distance, so there's really no need for transportation. Occasionally, the couple will have a horse-drawn carriage awaiting them, which will just take them on a romantic carriage ride through the streets. And of course being New Orleans, a lot of weddings here end with a second line parade through the French Quarter!
