This Slidell couple’s wedding took place on a beautiful Fall afternoon at Norris Oaks in Picayune, Mississippi, with the ceremony being held in the recently added brick-paved space in front of the venue’s large oak tree. The groom made quite an entrance, stylishly dancing down the aisle to the delight of the cheering crowd of guests.
After the ceremony, we had a few minutes of daylight left to capture some portraits of the couple, including the above gorgeous shot with the glow from the setting sun filtering in through the trees behind them, finishing up with a dusk portrait that allowed the candles going down the aisle to be featured.
Though the reception entertainment was provided by a DJ, the groom and his amazing band (along with the groom’s father) performed a few songs as well.
Their beautiful cake was crafted by Marguerite’s Cakes in Slidell.
At the end of the night, a brass band led the couple and their guests on a second line around the venue!
