This California couple came into town for a wedding planning trip, and in addition to meeting with them to discuss photography plans for the big day, we also worked in an engagement portrait session. They were hoping for the session to include a location with festoon lights in the background, and I knew just the spot for this... Exchange Place, a relatively quiet pedestrian alley near Hotel Monteleone.
We also captured photographs elsewhere in the French Quarter, such as in Pirate's Alley which runs alongside St. Louis Cathedral.
And some fabulous "dancing in the street" shots on Bourbon Street.
The Spring wedding took place at The Gallery at Tomas Bistro, and was a fabulous event. After the wedding, the bride had these kind words about her experience working with me:
We had the pleasure of working with Michael Caswell on our engagement photoshoot throughout the French Quarter as well as our wedding in the Warehouse District. Mike was recommended to us, among others, by our wedding planner, Sue Rudiger (New Orleans Wedding Planners, LLC). When my husband and I looked through Mike's portfolio, we loved the way he captured movement and candid, intimate moments. Mike is super nice and easy to work with, and he made us feel comfortable in front of the lens. We are obsessed with our photos and are incredibly happy with Mike's work.
Location: Exchange Place, New Orleans, LA.
