As this groom and his bride recess down the aisle at the conclusion of their Pavilion of the Two Sisters wedding ceremony in New Orleans City Park, he gives a celebratory fist pump to the delight of the crowd.
We had started out the day with the couple's first look, over by the lily pond.
We continued with some portraits of the bride and groom by the conservatory and in other areas of the Botanical Garden.
Doing a first look enabled us to get the wedding party formal (and not-so-formal!) group shots done before the ceremony (though the couple chose to wait until after the ceremony to do the family groups).
The ceremony took place on the brick-paved patio area adjacent to the venue.
The reception took place inside the Pavilion of the Two Sisters.
The band No Idea provided the entertainment, and they wrapped up the event at the end of the night with a fabulous rendition of The Beatles' Hey Jude, with the couple standing in the middle of a large circle of guests singing the famous repeating end portion of the song, and was one of the most memorable moments of any wedding I've photographed.
