Cafe du Monde is undeniably a New Orleans icon! A visit to the famous French Quarter location on Decatur Street across from Jackson Square for beignets (a fried square pastry covered in powered sugar) and cafe au lait (coffee with plenty of milk) is practically mandatory for tourists, and of course locals partake as well.
So, what better way to treat your wedding guests to a delicious taste of New Orleans than to bring Cafe du Monde to them? That's what this couple did for their wedding at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Hashtag #BeignetBliss!
We started out the wedding day with getting ready shots and a first look, and fulfilled the father of the bride's special request to get some relaxed, candid-style portraits of his whole family in the French Quarter, such as this photograph of the group walking down Bourbon Street.
The ceremony took place at St. Louis Cathedral, which is located right around the corner from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests had a fabulous second line parade from the church to the hotel for the reception.
The reception took place in the Bourbon Orleans Hotel's elegant ballroom.
Location: 717 Orleans St, New Orleans, LA 70116.
