Terrell House Wedding in New Orleans – Brianne & Benjamin

Terrell House Bed & Breakfast, which dates back to the 1850s, was the venue for this fabulous Virginia couple’s ceremony and reception.  Located on Magazine Street not too far from the Central Business District and French Quarter, Terrell House is a fantastic venue for weddings of around 100 guests, but I’ve also photographed much smaller and intimate events here. The beautiful courtyard is a good size and is lushly landscaped, with indoor space for food and for guests to sit and relax.  After the couple shared an emotional first look, the ceremony took place in the courtyard, officiated by Hon. William Carrington Lewis.  The reception was also held in the courtyard, with the beautiful floral decorations created by Pistil & Stamen, and Gambino’s supplied the delicious wedding cake.  The NOLA Dukes band provided the funky, soulful entertainment, and were fantastic.  Near the end of the night, the band was joined by the groom who sat in on guitar.  While this kind of thing is always a fun treat and makes for good photographs, this was one of those cases where he was actually a really good musician, and left everyone in amazement!  At the conclusion of the event, the Kinfolk Brass Band showed up, and led the whole group several blocks away to the Barrel Proof Bar, where the party was to continue through the night.
