Caroline & Clayton’s Wedding at Trinity Episcopal and Boudreaux’s in Baton Rouge

I’ve always believed that referrals from my clients to other engaged couples are the best compliment I can receive. And when this occurs within families, that’s the best kind of referral of all! Such was the case with Caroline and Clayton’s wedding in Baton Rouge, with me having photographed the bride’s brother’s wedding at the Elms Mansion in New Orleans way back in 2009, and her sister’s wedding in 2015 at the Botanical Garden and Pavillion of the Two Sisters City Park.

We started out this cool and crisp January day’s wedding with some getting ready coverage at the gorgeous waterfront home of a family friend (and we made sure to get a group picture of Caroline with my past two brides of the family, Catherine and Meghan!) before heading to Trinity Episcopal Church for the ceremony. The reception took place at Boudreax’s, a spacious and very elegant wedding venue in Baton Rouge not too far from downtown. There, an absolutely wild party with these wonderfully fun families ensued, fueled by the sounds of Mojeaux.

Designs by Milissa crafted the gorgeous floral decorations, and Ambrosia Bakery did the amazing cakes, including Clayton’s amazingly rendered blackjack table groom’s cake. At the end of the memorable night, the couple departed through a shower of champagne poppers!
