New Orleans Wedding at Elms Mansion

This Texas couple had an amazing afternoon/evening wedding at The Elms Mansion, with the event coordinated by Unique Weddings in New Orleans. We started out with bridal prep at The Pontchartrain Hotel, then headed over to Audubon Park for the couple’s first look and portraits, then heading down St. Charles Avenue to The Elms for the ceremony and reception.

Over the years, most of the wedding ceremonies I’ve photographed at The Elms Mansion have taken place by the venue’s iconic gazebo. But lately, I’ve had several couples decide instead to use the spacious lawn area on the other side of the property. This has the benefit of allowing for a more elaborate reception setup, since there is no need to flip the space after the ceremony.

The night wrapped up with a second line parade led by the Kinfolk Brass Band down St. Charles Avenue!
