Jessica and Josh had a fun wedding day with non-stop action! We started out in the morning with some getting ready shots at a great Airbnb, before heading over to the Bourbon Orleans Hotel for first looks and some fun family portraits around the French Quarter that were special requests from the bride’s father.
Then we made our way to St. Louis Cathedral for the ceremony. The Bourbon Orleans is right around the corner, so the group second lined with the Brian Murray Brass Band back to the hotel for the reception in the elegant ballroom.
There, the Cafe Du Monde truck was parked out front to provide beignets for everyone. Cafe du Monde is undeniably a New Orleans icon! A visit to the famous French Quarter location on Decatur Street across from Jackson Square for beignets (a fried square pastry covered in powered sugar) and cafe au lait (coffee with plenty of milk) is practically mandatory for tourists, and of course locals partake as well. The line can sometimes be pretty long, so what better way to treat your wedding guests to a delicious taste of New Orleans than to bring Cafe du Monde to them? Hashtag #BeignetBliss!
We snuck away during the reception for some more portraits of the couple, and then at the end of the event we finished up with a few more nighttime portraits.
