Kelli and Hunter:
Wedding at Pat O’s on the River

After some bridal prep shots at Hotel Monteleone, Kelli and Hunter started out with an emotional first look in Exchange Place, followed by a few portraits around the French Quarter.  The ceremony and reception took place at Pat O’s on the River.  Kelli’s late father was memorialized in the form of the game he loved to play, with a blackjack table, complete with a dealer so guests could play throughout the course of the reception (surely one of the more difficult things Brittani Adams of Unique Weddings in New Orleans has had to source!).

Reception entertainment was provided by the fabulous Bucktown Allstars, who have proven over the years that it’s all but impossible for guests to not have an amazingly great time when this band is there.  At the end of the night, the Kinfolk Brass Band guided everyone on a second line parade through the French Quarter!

Planning a wedding from 300+ miles away is never easy. Luckily I had a great planner who gave me all the top choices for every vendor I needed. I was given 4 options for a photographer and after looking through each website, there were no questions of who I wanted to photograph my biggest day! Michael was the nicest, easy-going photographer I’ve ever been in contact with. I could email him at any given time with any sort of question and he would always immediately respond. What I remember most, and what stood out the most, was as soon as I hired him, he mailed me a hand written thank you note. Right then I knew I had made the right choice! There wasn’t a moment missed at our rehearsal, wedding or reception/second line. I even hired him and made a special trip to NOLA to do my bridal portraits. Every single picture was simply amazing!!! The photos aren’t over-edited, they were perfect! He caught all the action and took tons of candid photos of our guests too. I will treasure these pictures for the rest of my life. I can’t recommend Michael enough! 10/10 would hire him again! So nice and so professional! Loved working with him!
