This New Orlean’s couple’s ceremony took place at the Hermann-Grima House, while the reception was held in the courtyard of Broussard’s.
We started out with some getting ready shots at the couple’s home. After this, we headed over to the French Quarter for their first look in Exchange Place, with the bridesmaids and groomsmen cheering in the background.
We then made our way to the Hermann-Grima House, and did some more portraits of the couple in the courtyard before the ceremony.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the fabulous Kinfolk Brass Band led the group out on a celebratory second line parade through the streets, ending up back at Broussard’s for the reception in the courtyard. Broussard’s and the Hermann-Grima House are located back to back, with a gate connecting the two courtyards. This makes for Hermann-Grima House ceremonies and Broussard’s wedding receptions being a frequent pairing.
The bride had these nice words for me after the wedding:
We love Michael! The thought and care that went into his work for our wedding day were unparalleled. He is such an easy-going person to work with in a high-stress day, and accommodated a few hiccups along the way. We are so grateful that Michael was there for our big day!
