Caitlin & Ben were so fun to work with on their engagement portrait, and I had been looking forward to their wedding at the elegant Elms Mansion in New Orleans. The weather was perfect, a gorgeous Spring afternoon! Everyone got ready at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Canal Street, though the bride waited until her arrival at the Elms Mansion to get her dress on. This venue has a very nice bridal suite upstairs that is perfect for getting dressed, putting on jewelry, and having finishing touches of hair and makeup. Glenda Ivy did the beautiful flowers, and Pure Cake created the cakes (including Ben’s pizza-themed groom’s cake, “…because I really love pizza!”). Kirk from One Louder Productions was on hand to capture video of the spectacular event and was great to work with as usual. At the end of the night, the couple departed through a shower of bubbles, and onto the waiting chartered streetcar to take them back to the hotel bar for the after party.
