Alice and Stephen had a wonderful wedding at the Maison Dupuy Hotel in the French Quarter. There was a possibility for rain in the forecast, so the couple opted for the custom-fitted tent over the courtyard. Of course, it didn’t rain, but still having the tent removed much of the stress over the chance of weather affecting the wedding plans. We started out with a first look in the back courtyard, which allowed us to get all of the formal group shots done before the ceremony, which was officiated by Jerry Schwehm. The bride and groom are both huge Dr. Who fans, so it was only fitting that their wedding cake was topped off with a TARDIS, and the groom’s cake was a spectacular rendering of a Dalek (wearing a Navy hat, representing Stephen’s military service). The reception featured live painter Kelly Boyett, Haydel’s mini king cakes, and caricaturist Andrew Wilkie. At the end of the night the couple was given a glowstick send-off!
