This Arkansas couple was so much fun to work with! We started out on this beautiful March afternoon with a first look at the Roosevelt Hotel. It can be challenging to find a reasonably private and quiet location for a first look at this busy hotel, but the beautiful marble staircase up on the mezzanine level worked out perfectly (fortunately the large wedding reception that was to be held in that space had not gotten underway yet), We then headed over to the French Quarter Wedding Chapel with a dozen or so friends and family for their intimate ceremony, which was officiated by Rev. Tony Talavera. As we walked around the vicinity capturing portraits of the couple prior to the ceremony, Amy mentioned that on a past visit to New Orleans, she had casually joked with Jackson while walking past the FQ Wedding Chapel, “maybe we’ll get married there someday”… and they did! Afterward, the group headed to Restaurant August for a dinner reception in the restaurant’s gorgeous and spacious private dining room / event space.
