Hannah and Colin’s beautiful wedding took place at The Cabildo in the French Quarter, with the excellent Uncommon Camellia team coordinating the event. After the ceremony, we hit the streets for a festive second line parade, then back to the Cabildo for the reception. There, the couple had a special and unique treat for their guests, a Japanese drum performance, in recognition of the country where they first met!
We also headed up to the very top of the building for some evening skyline portraits of the couple. The upper floor of the building (and this cupola) suffered severe damage in a fire back in the late 1980s, inadvertently caused by a workman using a torch, prompting brave museum workers and volunteers to frantically try to save as many of the priceless historic artifacts as they could. The damaged portions of the structure were rebuilt, and the museum reopened about 5-6 years later.
