It was nice to be shooting at the beautiful Elms Mansion two evenings in a row!
This wonderful couple’s wedding day started out with some getting ready shots in their Mid-City home. We then headed to the venue, where the couple had their first look, and engaged in a friendly argument over who the “main bride” was.
The ceremony took place in the lawn area of the venue, and officiated by two of the couples’ friends. The space was beautifully decorated by florist Dunn & Sonnier, and the bride’s moms couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved the flowers. After the ceremony, we headed out for a second line parade down St. Charles Avenue with the fabulous Kinfolk Brass Band, returning to The Elms for the reception, with the band BRW providing the entertainment. Finally, at the end of the night, the couple was given a sparkler send-off by their guests!

Here’s what the couple had to say after the wedding:
Michael was so wonderful to work with. We love the photos he captured for our wedding but also loved how behind the scenes he was. We wanted to be able to experience our day without worrying about the photography and Michael helped us accomplish just that. He captured the shots without interrupting the flow of the day. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer with a great eye who is also subtle. His turn around of the photos was quick and he is extremely responsive to any questions. Highly recommend.
