Amber and Chris were a lot of fun to work with on their engagement portrait earlier this year, and their wedding was a blast as well! We started out with the “getting ready” coverage at the Roosevelt Hotel before heading down St. Charles Avenue to beautiful Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church for the ceremony. We then headed to the Federal Ballroom at the corner of Carondelet and Common streets for the reception, where the fabulous Phunky Monkeys were on hand for the entertainment. Chris and his mom’s dance started out with a standard song selection, before surprising everyone by unexpectedly launching into the Whip/Nae Nae, which the crowd loved. In lieu of a groom’s cake, Chris had a groom’s donut table, which was a big hit. Later, the band did the most amazing rendition of Thrift Shop ever, with an amazing extended sax solo that brought the house down. And at the end of the night, the couple was given a fantastic send-off outside the Federal Ballroom with the guests waving streamer sticks as Amber and Chris ran through!
