This amazing couple’s wedding day began with the bride getting ready at the luxurious Le Pavillon Hotel in downtown New Orleans. This hotel holds sentimental value to me, as it was the bridal prep location of the very first wedding that I documented as the main photographer, over ten years ago! Tai, along with her mom and bridesmaids, got ready in one of the hotel’s spacious meeting rooms on the second floor. After a few quick shots of the gorgeous bride in the beautiful lobby, we all headed down the street to Lafayette Square, a historic park dating back to 1788 and located on Saint Charles Avenue across the street from Gallier Hall. After the ceremony and the formal group shots in the park, a fabulous brass band led us on a festive second line parade down Poydras Street back to the hotel where the reception was to take place. The couple set aside some time for shots of just the two of them around the hotel, which was great! Their first dance song, a Bob Dylan tune, was performed by David’s father on guitar and his uncle on harmonica, adding a delightfully personal and memorable touch. And later, David’s best man delivered one of the greatest best man speeches ever!
