I had a great time with this fantastic Illinois couple! We started out with a joyful first look at the Pharmacy Museum’s beautiful courtyard along with some portraits of the bride and groom, and the ceremony took place there as well. This wonderful venue is a great example of how many unassuming Vieux Carré buildings you see from the street actually have gorgeous courtyards hidden behind them. The lush greenery, peaceful fountain, and old weathered brick walls give plenty of character to this beautiful spot, which can host ceremonies or receptions. We then hit the streets of the French Quarter with the Kinfolk Brass Band for a thrilling second line parade to Broussard’s, where this couple’s reception took place in the famous restaurant’s spacious courtyard, which was partially protected by a tent due to the threat of bad weather. Thankfully, the rain stayed away, but better to be safe just in case. Rather than a traditional wedding cake, the couple instead opted for a gorgeous display of cupcakes in several different flavors.
