I always enjoy photographing weddings in my home town of Slidell. Teresa and Guy’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at Trinity Banquets & Receptions. Shortly before the ceremony, the couple shared a moment of prayer with Guy’s parents. And for the reception, Guy’s father had a special surprise up his sleeve. Guy and Teresa love dancing, but as his father told me, “as my son knows, I don’t dance… ever.” So, in the months leading up to the wedding, Guy’s parents were secretly taking dancing lessons (even at the same studio that the couple went to each week, just on a different day), and surprised them by performing a beautiful waltz. And I loved how the couple made good use of the engagement portrait pictures we captured, having many of them printed and placed throughout the venue.
