This wonderful couple’s wedding took place at the elegant and historic Benachi House on Bayou Road in New Orleans. This beautiful venue is located just off Esplanade Avenue, not too far from City Park. Development on the site dates back to the early 1800s, and the original structure was removed and the present mansion built for Nicolas Benachi in the late 1850s. In 1983 the property was acquired by its current owner, who lovingly restored the home to its full glory in a long project that lasted seven years. Today, it serves as a truly unique and special wedding and event venue, perfect for couples who desire a wedding in a historic New Orleans setting, but with a quieter and more graceful ambiance than the French Quarter. A friend of the Katherine and Adam officiated the ceremony which took place outside in front of the house, and did a great job, as did the Courtyard Kings band, who provided the ceremony and reception music! The outdoor reception was held in the beautiful garden and patio area behind the mansion.
