Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gulfport was the setting for this wonderful couple's wedding ceremony, with the reception taking place in the Commodore's Ballroom at the Gulfport Yacht Club's beautiful new facility. This venue is an ideal choice for wedding receptions, as it features pleasant and modern decor, great views of the Gulf of Mexico, and plenty of space for larger events.
The Gulfport Yacht Club's beginnings can be traced back to the early 1900s when a group of locals formed the club and constructed a headquarters building called The Pavilion. After this building burned down several years later, yachting activity in the area faded, until the club was revived in the early 1930s. Like most of the yacht clubs along the Gulf Coast, the GCYC's clubhouse building was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but was beautifully rebuilt three years later.
