It was an honor to photograph this military couple’s wedding! The event was perfectly coordinated by Brittani Adams from Unique Weddings in New Orleans. Having a good wedding planner was essential for this military couple, as they were deployed overseas for much of the time leading up to the wedding. After getting ready at the Monteleone Hotel, we headed to Jackson Square for the ceremony, where iconic New Orleans musicians Tanya & Dorise provided the music. We then Second Lined with the fabulous Algiers Brass Band through the French Quarter to world-famous Arnaud’s for the reception, where the band Burger & Fries were on hand for the entertainment. Check out the special wedding chalice that the couple drank from at the same time (it’s not as easy as it sounds)! It’s a tradition in Chris’s family, and his dad told the fascinating story of the chalice design’s origin. At the end of the night, the couple departed through a send-off of guests holding sparklers!
