Colleen and James’ wedding day began with everyone getting ready at the Hilton Riverside Hotel at the foot of Poydras Street.
We then headed to Popp Fountain in City Park for the wedding ceremony just before sunset. Nola Flora crafted the gorgeous flowers, and Luminous Events did the beautiful candles and speciality lighting.
The reception took place at the adjacent Arbor Room, City Park’s newest addition to its collection of fabulous wedding venues. There, Groovy 7 was on hand for the entertainment and were absolutely fabulous as usual. This band is a favorite among wedding professionals, and I always look forward to working with them.
The entire back wall behind the band was lit up with strings of lights and blue uplighting, which made for this nice silhouette image of the couple.
And the bride’s dad even sat in with the band, and impressed everyone with his powerful voice!
Despite being twirled around and around by her new husband, amazingly Colleen did not spill the drink she was holding!
