Southern Oaks Wedding in New Orleans

This California couple had a fantastic wedding at Southern Oaks in New Orleans. We started out with some getting ready shots at an Airbnb in nearby Chalmette before heading over to the venue for the ceremony and reception.

Their wedding featured the bride’s entrance by horse-drawn carriage, which is always a breathtaking moment that takes guests by surprise. The ceremony concluded with a celebratory second line parade and fireworks show. During the reception, in addition to Southern Oaks’ great food, guests were treated to fresh beignets and cafe au lait by the Cafe du Monde food truck.

And, of course, we spent some time outside getting portraits of the couple around the grounds of the venue. The night was wrapped up with a fantastic streamer stick send-off!
