Hammond Marriage Proposal at Southeastern

I’ve photographed many marriage proposals, but this one was very different. Claudia and Reed were students at Southeastern, and the top floor of the Strawberry Stadium parking garage was their favorite spot to sit and talk. So, it was a perfect choice for where Reed would pop the big question. On this quiet Sunday in July with the parking garage largely empty, Reed arranged for the couple’s friend group to all be there, stationed along the ramps on the way up to the top floor.

As the couple pulled into the garage, they were greeted by these groups of friends waving signs and cheering them on as they continued on the way up. So, obviously Claudia knew what was happening by that point, but she still had a priceless reaction when they reached the top, parked, and walked to the spot that had been set up in advance by Reed’s mom.

We finished up with some portraits of the couple and their friends, before the group headed out to a restaurant to celebrate!
