Sarah and Ramzi:
Slidell Family Portrait

I photographed Sarah and Ramzi’s wedding at Oak Alley Plantation in 2018. Their wedding package included an engagement portrait session, which we intended to use as a post-wedding portrait the day after the event, but bad weather got in the way. We’d unsuccessfully tried to reschedule it a few times since then during their subsequent visits to the area, and finally this time the stars aligned.

They decided that they’d like to also add in some family portraits, and we did the session at her parents’ beautiful home in Slidell.

A surprise marriage proposal

And to make things even better, the family portrait session turned into a surprise marriage proposal when Sarah’s sister’s boyfriend popped the question in the middle of the shoot!  I’d shot many surprise marriage proposals before, but never one that was also a surprise to me! It was a beautiful moment, and I’m so glad I was there to capture it.
