This DC couple had a delightfully laid-back wedding at Muriel’s Jackson Square, with Hallowed Ground Productions coordinating the event. The ceremony was officiated by Michelle Zeller, and the James Martin Band provided the lively reception entertainment!
The building that is home to Muriel’s Jackson Square was originally built as a grand residence in the mid-1700s, though a fire in 1788 damaged the building. It was rebuilt, incorporating the portions that were still intact. Over the years, it served as a lavish and luxurious residence for various powerful and wealthy New Orleans families, until it was renovated in the late 1800’s and converted for commercial use. A series of restaurants and bars occupied the space, until 2001, when Muriel’s opened.
