It was a memorable night at Latrobe’s with this fun local New Orleans couple and their family and friends! We started out at the Lafayette Hotel on St. Charles Ave. where the bride was getting ready, and then did a first look in the adjacent Lafayette Square Park, as well as most of the formal group shots, before heading over to Latrobe’s for the ceremony and reception.
The Plant Gallery did the beautiful flowers, and Jack Magic Entertainment provided the music. At the end of the festive night, the fabulous Kinfolk Brass Band showed up and led the group on a second line parade through the streets of the French Quarter.
In one of those “only in New Orleans” examples, at one point during the parade a happy group of ladies wearing matching shirts who appeared to be in town celebrating a birthday, joined in the fun! That’s one of the most enjoyable things about second lines, seeing total strangers join in the celebration of the new couple!
The groom had these nice words for me after the wedding:
Michael really delivered on our engagement photos and our big day. He beautifully captured the pure joy and celebration of our ceremony and reception. He knew everything about the right time and place to conduct our photos and was very flexible and met us at multiple locations with no problem. The photos are so good that we haven’t been able to stop gushing over them for days and we plan on sending framed copies to our wedding attendees. He even offered me an extra pair of pants after I split mine whilst grooving on the dance floor!
