These guys were hilarious and so much fun to work with for their City Park and French Quarter elopement! Their wicked sense of humor led us to capture a photograph by a one way sign on Bourbon Street that someone has mischievously altered to read “gone gay”, which they had spotted while walking around the area the previous day. And they actually made their festive boutonnières and bow ties themselves.
This wedding was a bit unconventional in that, despite it being a very small wedding with less than a dozen friends and family in attendance, the photography was split up into two days. Because they wanted to get married on Halloween in New Orleans City Park but also wanted portraits in the French Quarter (which would be a bit too hectic and crowded on Halloween), we did the the grooms getting ready at the Cornstalk Inn Hotel and the portraits in their wedding attire in the French Quarter the day before. Then the Voodoo-inspired ceremony took place on Goldfish Island in City Park on Halloween, officiated by a priestess from Bloody Mary’s Tours.
We finished the day with some more portraits of the couple and their guests in the park, before they headed off for a celebratory meal at Muriel’s!
