Wedding at Norris Oaks in Picayune, MS
This Slidell couple’s wedding took place at Norris Oaks (formerly known as the Barn at Sarah Bella) in Picayune, Mississippi. The ceremony was held in the recently added brick-paved space in front of the venue’s large oak tree. The groom made quite an entrance, stylishly dancing down the aisle to the delight of the cheering crowd of guests.
The ceremony took place at the perfect time of day, with just enough great light remaining for some portraits of the couple around the grounds afterward. One of those shots was a beautiful scene where the glow of the sunset was filtering through the trees behind them. We finished up with a dusk portrait that allowed the candles going down the aisle.
The reception entertainment was provided by a DJ. However, the groom and his amazing band (along with the groom’s father) performed a few songs as well. Then at the end of the night, a brass band led the couple and their guests on a second line around the venue!
