This delightful New York couple came down to elope in New Orleans, and they were a lot of fun to work with! We started out with a first look by the staircase in the Westin Hotel, which was a great spot for this, with lots of natural light coming in through the large windows. After some portraits, we headed to Jackson Square, where a local friend of the couple performed their ceremony. Because the park itself was closed to the general public due to COVID restrictions, the gates were locked and we had the place to ourselves… it would ordinarily be practically unheard of to have a wide-angle ceremony picture like this without a single random person in the background!
Then we hit the streets again for some more portraits, I loved the impromptu shot of the two of them dancing in front of a brass band performing in the pedestrian mall in front of St. Louis Cathedral. We were also able to get some other great portraits in the park, before heading out to some other locations in the French Quarter, and then heading back to Decatur St. for the couple to depart on a sunset carriage ride by Royal Carriages.
And yes, the groom is aware that he looks just like Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. 🙂
