Shannon & Colton’s fabulous wedding day began with the girls getting ready at South Beach Inn & Suites in Biloxi, and then it was on to St. Michael’s Catholic Church (“The Fisherman’s Church”) for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we finished the formal group shots more quickly than expected, so we had some time to do some shots of the couple outside of the Slavonian Lodge before going inside for the reception. There, the band Phat Hat had come in from Baton Rouge for the entertainment, and were a fantastic band! At the end of the evening, the couple was given a sparkler send-off by the enthusiastic guests.
I don’t think I’d ever shot a sparkler departure when there was still daylight outside, so I was a little concerned that the sparklers would not be visible enough in the photographs, but the images actually turned out fine. I loved how the guests, not satisfied with the couple simply walking through the arch of sparklers, proceeded to follow Shannon and Colton down the street as they headed to their car!
The bride posted this great review after the wedding:
I have been chasing Michael’s Photography for awhile now, We ended up having to change our wedding date which Michael was conveniently available for. My day was made! A few of our venues were enchanted areas for him, he can handle anything! He is AWESOME!!
From our engagement photos, to my bridals (which had to be rescheduled thanks to mother nature), to our wedding; I couldn’t have asked for anything more from him! He is so talented in capturing all the wonderful moments of the whole day. Do not underestimate this man, he can capture it all. It was so special for my husband and I to get lasting shots with our family that had traveled so far.
Thank you, Michael!!
