I photographed Katherine’s brother’s wedding about 5 years ago, and was thrilled to get the opportunity to work with this family again! The bride and bridesmaids got ready at the elegant Roosevelt Hotel in downtown New Orleans, and then headed to City Park’s beautiful Botanical Garden for the ceremony. The light on this lovely Spring afternoon was perfect for an outdoor wedding. Among the ceremony music selections were a couple of choir pieces sang by a small group that included Katherine’s brother Matt, whose wedding I photographed a few years before at the Elms Mansion in uptown New Orleans. After the ceremony, we did our formal group shots outside, and also were able to spend a few minutes just shooting Katherine & Clay while there was a little bit of usable light to work with outside. The reception took place in the Pavilion of Two Sisters, which is directly adjacent to where the ceremony was held. The band Troy Marks & No Idea was on hand for the entertainment and was fabulous as usual.
