I had a great time with Virginia and Anthony’s engagement portrait last year at Fairview Riverside State Park in Madisonville, and I knew their wedding at the Madisonville Maritime Museum was going to be a blast! The Girls in Black team coordinated the event, while Rhythm Intervention came in all the way from Alabama to perform for the reception, and were great!
Before the ceremony, I was able to get some photographs of the bride in the old lighthouse keeper’s cottage. The lighthouse itself is located where the river meets Lake Pontchartrain and is not easily accessible. But the keeper’s house was relocated to the grounds of the Maritime Museum for visitors to be able to enjoy. The ceremony was held out on the dock with the river in the background, in perfect light on this beautiful Spring afternoon, while the reception took place inside the museum’s beautiful and spacious main building, where guests could not only celebrate the new couple’s marriage, but also view the museum’s fascinating exhibits.
