I had a great time photographing this Slidell couple for their engagement portrait in the French Quarter. The forecast had looked a bit iffy, which had us nervous in the days leading up to the session. But, as is often the case when bad weather is predicted, it actually turned out to be perfect conditions.
We started out at Washington Artillery Park, which is an elevated platform directly across Decatur Street from Jackson Square, and offers a great view of St. Louis Cathedral. We also shot in front of the former home of famed musician Lenny Kravitz, which was fitting, given Omari himself being a professional musician from a famous New Orleans musical family.
I’m looking forward to their wedding at Norris Oaks in Picayune this Fall!
